I'm honored to announce that I have been the overall winner of the European Photographer of the Year 2023, by the FEP - Federation of European Professional Photographers.

The final results of the competition were announced at a ceremony that took place in Prague on the 15th of April 2023. More than 300 photographers from all over Europe competed in this year's edition of the competition promoted by FEP.

In the end, the jury decided that the most important trophy, the European Photographer of the Year 2023", chosen among the winners of each of the 12 categories in the competition, would be awarded to me. It's the first time that an author wins twice this title, the first in 2010, and the second now in 2023.
In each category, photographers were invited to send a minimum of 3 images, with the average score of these three images determining the final classification in their category.
These are the three images that won the "Illustrative Fine Art" category, and which later earned me the title of European Photographer of the Year 2023, by FEP, in order of score.

This time I was finalist in 6 different categories which is a record. Out of these 6 categories, the Golden Camera (first place) in the "Illustrative and Fine Art" category, the Silver Camera (second place) in the "Digitally Created" category, and the Bronze Camera (third place) in the "Advertising and Commercial" category".
It is an honor to see final result of the projects I envision/create are recognized in this important photographic event and read this on the competition's official website: "Man of the evening was undoubtedly André Boto, he was a finalist in a whopping 6 of the competition's 12 categories and gathered 3 medals, one of each colour: gold, silver and bronze. Being a finalist in 6 different categories proves what a versatile and talented photographer he is."
